Nelson Trust's Got Talent

Well, as the name would suggest, that’s exactly what it was.  Held at the STAR Centre which was filled to capacity by the entire community, residents both past and present, counsellors and staff alike, it set the scene for a truly enjoyable and entertaining afternoon.

The compere, an East Warf resident (you know who you are) introduced the performers with a wit and flair that was infectious to say the least.

The singers and musicians staged several classic tracks which came across with an obvious lustre and enthusiasm that could only have been achieved with a lot of hard work and dedication.

This was punctuated with several works of poetry and readings, all obviously written from the soul, some truly moving and thought provoking stuff to say the least!

Although all the acts were superb, one young lady in particular, stole the show.  Playing the acoustic guitar and singing solo a song of her own writing, this little lady with the huge voice, quite literally blew the audience away, a great future surely lies ahead, (remember, you heard it here first!)

Finally many thanks to Brian and his team, without whose hard work and many hours spent organising, recruiting and rehearsing, this great experience would not have been possible.
All in all, I think you’ll agree, a resounding success all round.

You should all feel very proud of yourselves, and rightly so.
