London Fashion week is talk of the town but not in the village of Brimscombe..........
On Tues 29th September the ladies of the Nelson Trust put on a truly professional show of designer clothing left over from a second hand sale held earlier in the year. Staff and friends of the Nelson Trust were invited to enjoy this unique and entertaining event and everyone who came thoroughly enjoye
d it.
Lorraine Whitmore, Women’s Service Counsellor said ‘the women wanted to do something in celebration of women. On the evening they read poetry and sang songs alongside an excellent catwalk show’ she added ‘everyone involved had such a great time on the night, and it is a real boost of confidence for them especially with all the positive feedback we have since received’.
A lot of hard work and effort went in to the evening so big thanks to everyone who came along, helped out and took part.
Proceeds from the raffle, entry, cake and clothing sales will go towards continuing to develop and improve the Nelson Trust's constantly evolving services.
