NIGHT SUPPORT WORKERS

We are a registered charity providing an abstinence based treatment programme for alcoholism, drug and other addictions.

We currently have vacancies for Night Support Workers to provide support to our clients who live in our 4 separate residential units, one of which is a women only house.  Working hours are 6.00pm to 8.00am, (12.30am to 7.00 am are designated sleeping hours).  A separate comfortable room with bed and TV is provided for you.

In-house induction and familiarisation training will be given and in addition you will be expected to undertake administration of medication training and qualification, numerous other training opportunities are available to you.  A current clean driving licence is desirable.

We offer successful applicants a non contributable pension scheme; and 25 days paid annual leave (pro rata for PT employees).

KEY WORKER (Female)

 

Fixed Term Post to March 2011

Wanted for our exciting new ISIS Women’s Centre based in Gloucester

The ISIS Women’s Centre is an innovative programme aimed at working with women offenders or those who are at risk of offending.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage a caseload, and to support clients’ to access other services as appropriate.  Additionally they will be expected to develop, attend or facilitate multiagency meetings as required and to act as an advocate for the client within prescribed protocols.

You will be expected to demonstrate that you are a good team player, excellent communicator and have a genuine desire to make a contribution to the overall success of this exciting new centre.

Mini Bus Driver (Evenings) – Job Share Considered

The successful candidate will be in possession of a clean driving licence and be able to drive Category D1 vehicles.

You will be expected to transport our clients to evening AA & NA meetings which primarily take place within the Stroud district, but which may also take place in Gloucester; Cheltenham or Swindon as required.  You will also be expected to support our Night Support Team whenever client transport is required eg. shopping;
emergency medical appointments; collection of prescription medication etc.  Additionally you may be asked to undertake small maintenance tasks within our residential properties.

The ideal candidate will have some experience of working with vulnerable adults within an abstinence based treatment setting.
