Team Nelson take to the Malvern Hills
More than 50 walkers rambled across the sunny Malvern Hills on Sunday 4th October to raise money for the Nelson Trust.
The walk took fellow participants across the whole 10 mile stretch of the hills. The route was divided into two sections so that some of the less experienced walkers could take a shorter route. However, most of the participants finished the walk, even if it did talk a little longer than expected!
Sponsor money is yet to be collected but it is estimated that funds raised could be in the region of £1000. Jane Ellis, walk organiser said 'Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day, it was the first time we put on an event like this and I'm sure we'll be doing it again next year due to the feedback we've had. Also, well done to the team of fitness fanantics that managed to run the route of the walk, a true inspiration to others for next time!!'
A big thank you to Mike Tucker from Rodborough for leading the walk, to Prue Vernon for providing a fantasic lunch with homemade flapjack and to everyone who took part and raised funds.
