How your money is used

paints

We value each and every gift in support of our work. This will be used in a number of ways:

  • £10 enables a group of clients to attend an AA or NA meeting - a vital component of their recovery programme.
  • £25 covers the cost of a therapy session for the family of a client in treatment.
  • £50 pays for a night support worker on site to deal with any crisis that may arise outside normal working hours.
  • £100 covers the average fuel bills for a high-support treatment house for a month.
  • £500 buys a new computer for the clients' IT training suite.

We need to raise approximately £100,000 each year to cover costs that are not funded through existing funding streams.

outward bound

Programme activities such as outward bound expeditions or drama therapy workshops have proved immensely beneficial to the client's perspective of themselves and the world around them. These activities are 'extra-curricular' and are financed from raised income

The houses require constant maintenance - mending a leaking roof, replacing a broken fridge or fitting a new carpet. We always need extra funds for this kind of work so that we can respond to urgent situations in the most effective and economical way.

General running costs - every business has them and the Trust is no exception! The core costs of the charity do not easily attract grants and general donations can help enormously. Unrestricted donations allow us to make the most of our income streams.
