The Nelson Trust – Volunteer Trustees
The Nelson Trust has a national and international reputation as a centre of excellence in the treatment of addiction. We are passionate about recovery and believe in the capacity for individual change based on abstinence and our residential treatment helps our clients to achieve lasting recovery. In addition, we provide a safe, women-only space for women who have experienced trauma or abuse which is closely associated with substance dependency. Our innovative work with women with complex problems led to the establishment of the Women’s Centres in Gloucester and Swindon and most recently the setting up of a centre in Somerset. These provide a “one stop shop” approach to the wide range of problems faced by women in the criminal justice system.
The Chair would like to recruit two Trustees to join the Board, due to expansion of services we would be pleased to hear from, and welcome applications from individuals with a special interest in Wiltshire and in Somerset.
