Our most popular fundraising event is now less than a month away, with the Clay Shoot and Black Tie Dinner taking place on Friday 15th May 2015 at Berkeley Castle. Last year the event coincided with the BBC filming Wolf Hall. Many of the guests were mistakenly sent to the middle of the film set, after saying they had arrived for the 'shoot', adding to the unique experience.
Last year was also the first time a shoot had taken place in the ancient deer park for over 100 years. Sarah Frost, the Events Coordinator at the Nelson Trust, said "We are very grateful to our supporters and sponsors who help to make the shoot such a success. One of our main goals is to fill the void of addiction and equip clients for life beyond treatment". Lindsay Cuthill, Head of Savills' London Country Department, the title sponsor, said "Covering the Cotswolds from our local network (alongside our London team), we are very much part of the community and working with the Nelson Trust to support their invaluable programmes is a very exciting prospect for us. We celebrate their 30 years and look forward to continuing involvement".
Other sponsors include the David Thomas Trust who is supporting the Black Tie Dinner and Auction, Cotswold Motor Group who is supplying BMW X vehicles to transport the guns between the castle and folly. Jerry Green of St. James's Place Wealth Management will be sponsoring the gnat. Stand sponsors include Saffrey Champness and Lodders Solicitors. The Berkeley Estate will be supplying home-grown venison for the BBQ and Cotswold Life is the media sponsor.
