On Friday 28th September 92 supporters of The Nelson Trust arrived at Beaudesert Park School for our Annual lecture.
The atmosphere was high as the sun set on the magnificent forest like building while The Sober Parrot served delicious canapés to guests who were here to watch Felicity Herring's lecture on (rather fittingly) The Life and Loves of Lord Nelson.
The lecture was very much enjoyed and NADFAS lecturer Felicity was passionate and knowledgeble about Lord Nelson. The lecture was illistrated with paintings of the naval commanders ships and with battles such as The Battle of Trafalgar. We also learnt about the loves of his life; his marriage to Fanny in the West Indies and his affair with Emma, Lady Hamilton.
A huge thank you to Felicity for generously coming to talk about to us about the fascinating Lord Nelson on the eve of his birthday!
