Clay Shoot and Dinner

Thursday 15th May, 2025

Join us in celebrating our 40th anniversary at our annual Clay Shoot and Dinner, set against the stunning backdrop of Berkeley Castle.

Please note: Our Evening Dinner at Berkeley Castle is now SOLD OUT! There are few spaces left for clay shooting teams.

Our annual Clay Shoot and Dinner has become one of the most anticipated events of the year, offering participants the chance to test their marksmanship (with a few misses along the way!), network and socialise with local businesses and corporations, and explore the beautiful deer park of Berkeley Castle. Followed by a delicious dinner experience at the castle including drinks reception, castle tour, and a three course dinner. As we mark our 40th anniversary in 2025, our events promise to be bigger and better than ever!

This year, our annual Clay Shoot competition will feature a ‘Gnat!’

The Gnat is a fast, remote controlled, delta wing  aeroplane with fuel cells under the wings which explode when hit! Quite simply this is huge fun – and very competitive. The Gnat will fly past your team four times and flashes of smoke, and flame erupt when you hit the mark.

There are only few spaces left for the clay shoot, so please book quickly if you would like to take part!

You can watch more about the Gnat here: http://fb.watch/dFzG96G-U3”

You can attend the whole day (clay shoot and dinner), clay shoot only, or dinner only.

Tickets: £250 per person (£1,000 per team) and/or £100 dinner ticket (sold out) – more information below.

Event Information:

  • Teams of four are invited to participate, with each team entry priced at £1,000 (£250 per person).
    • This includes access to all shooting stands, a post-shoot lunch featuring estate-reared venison pies served in an eco-tipi, with cartridges provided.
    • As the day draws to a close, you can enjoy a black-tie dinner in the Great Hall at Berkeley Castle (£100 per person), where you’ll indulge in a three-course meal with a selection of beverages, a reception, and a lively auction featuring unique items. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore the castle on guided tours.

This event is not just a day of fun but also a crucial fundraiser for The Nelson Trust, with proceeds exceeding £45,000 annually. Your participation and support over the past 40 years have directly contributed to our mission of transforming lives and communities. However, there is still more to be done to ensure we continue making a positive impact.
