Role Title:  Cardiff Nelson Trust Champion Volunteer – Female 
Location: Cardiff Women’s Centre

The Nelson Trust Cardiff Women’s Centre supports women experiencing multiple disadvantages and unmet needs by providing a safe, trauma-informed space where women can access one-to-one support, group programmes, and a wide range of services under one roof.

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate female volunteers to become Nelson Trust Champions and help raise awareness of our Women’s Centre across Cardiff and the surrounding area.

What You’ll Do

As a Nelson Trust Champion, you will help us connect with more women who could benefit from our support by:

  • Promoting The Nelson Trust to local organisations and businesses.
  • Sharing information and resources about our services.
  • Representing The Nelson Trust at community events and activities.
  • Supporting centre celebrations and themed events.
  • Welcoming women who may feel nervous or uncertain about accessing support for the first time.

Additional Information

Successful volunteers will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check, provide two references, and undergo Enhanced Level 1 Vetting with HMPPS before starting their role.

Please note: Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women’s Centres, this role is open to female applicants only, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
