Role Title: Volunteer Receptionist – Female
Location: Bridgwater Women’s Centre
Hours: 4-6 hours per week – to be discussed
We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to volunteer on our reception desk at our Women’s Centre in Bridgwater.
We are looking for someone who is looking to gain experience, enhance their CV, or utilise previous skills and/or experience and contribute to our busy women’s centre!
The Women’s centre supports women with multiple and complex needs, it offers a drop-in service and provides a crèche service for children (0-8years) to be looked after whilst their mother is attending the centre. Our reception area is a crucial part of the women’s centre and is open on a weekly 9.30am – 4pm basis and led by Deb; our dedicated administrator. We are looking for a volunteer receptionist to support our administrator in the day to day operations of the reception area.
We require someone who is reliable, flexible and able to take initiative to support our administrator to welcome women into the centre. The successful candidate will have experience in the reception duties, or a passion to gain that experience, an understanding of trauma and why women access our women’s centre, demonstrating warmth and respect for the women we serve.
You will meet and greet visitors at the Bridgwater Women’s Centre, and also answer telephone calls and direct queries.
This role is very flexible regarding days and hours but we are looking for a volunteer that can commit weekly.
The Nelson Trust is committed to safeguarding; therefore, the successful applicant will be
required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and provide the names and contact details of two
referees for references to be sought before commencing with The Trust.
