Announcing the appointment of our new CEO
We’re delighted to share some exciting news our with our supporters, partners, and community. After a thorough selection process, we’re pleased to announce that Christina Line will be taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer at The Nelson Trust from July.
Chris embarked on her journey with The Nelson Trust as a keyworker, and over the following 10 years, she has embraced various roles within the organisation, demonstrating her growth and dedication. Armed with extensive knowledge and passion, Chris is committed to making change possible for our communities across the South West of England and Wales.
After a competitive search process, the Board are delighted to announce the appointment of Christina Line as our next CEO to succeed John Trolan who stands down after more than 10 years at the helm of the Trust. Christina has extensive experience of our work having started her career with the Trust as a Rural Outreach Worker in 2014 and progressing to be a member of the Senior Leadership Team including the position of COO in 2023. I look forward to working with Christina as she takes over the reins in July this year.
I am thrilled to be taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer. It's truly an honour to serve an organisation whose work and mission I am so passionate about. My career with The Nelson Trust began in 2014 when I started as a Rural Outreach Worker supporting young women experiencing exploitation and abuse. Since then, I have had the privilege of holding various roles within the Trust, each one deepening my commitment and passion for the vulnerable people we serve.
I am looking forward to leading the Trust, and using the investment it has made in my professional development to ensure we continue to strive to be the best we can be. It’s going to be an exciting journey working alongside our partners, our supporters, our Board and our inspirational staff for the benefit of the people who matter the most, our beneficiaries.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to John Trolan for his leadership and dedication over the past decade. His work has played a vital role in shaping The Nelson Trust into the organisation it is today.
As we step into this next chapter, we remain as committed as ever to transforming lives and making change possible.
