We are honoured to announce that Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucester has become our first ever Royal Patron, in a landmark moment as we celebrate our 40th anniversary.
The announcement was made at a special event on Tuesday (24th June), held to mark our four decades of life-changing work. The celebration brought together supporters, clients, volunteers, staff and partners from across the country to reflect on our impact and future.
“This is a poignant moment for the charity”, said Christina Line incoming Chief Executive. “We are immensely proud and grateful to welcome Her Royal Highness as our first Royal Patron. Her Royal Highness’s support as we mark 40 years of frontline work, not only strengthens our voice but it helps ensure that more people can access the support they need to heal, grow, and thrive.”
The event, generously hosted and organised by Hugh and Rosie Tollemache at Coronation Meadow near Stow-on-the-Wold, also heard from Lady Edwina Grosvenor, who spoke passionately about her longstanding support for The Nelson Trust and the strong relationship she has built with us through her own work with women in the criminal justice system.
Attendees enjoyed food prepared by our own Hub Catering social enterprise, while staff members shared powerful lived-experience stories of transformation and resilience.
