£7,500 raised at Women in Leadership

Last Thursday saw the return of our popular 'Women in Leadership' event, raising an incredible £7,500 for the people we support.

Sold out for the fourth year in a row, 80 attendees joined together to hear the inspiring stories and experiences of influential businesswomen from across Gloucestershire.

Panel member Camella Cephas said:

“At WSP, we believe that diverse perspectives make organisations and communities stronger, and events like the Women in Leadership, create valuable opportunities to connect, share experiences and inspire future leaders. This year’s event was another great success, fostering meaningful conversations and networks that help empower women and create lasting impact.”

The panel featured both men and women, including Camella Cephas, Managing Director at WSP Solicitors, Amanda Segelov, Director of Operations at The Nelson Trust, James Forrester, Commercial Sales Director of Gloucester Rugby Club and Gloucester Hartpury Women’s Rugby Club, Sam Nicholas, Head of Legal for The Benefact Group and Dr Stewart Barnes, CEO of QuoLux Group.

Speakers reflected on the significance women in leadership roles has for businesses, their experiences of gender disparity, particularly in male dominated industries and how women are championing for equal opportunities.

Chris Pitt, Group Impact Director at The Benefact Group and hosts of the event said:

“This was the fourth year that we’ve organised this event. It continues to be a wonderful way to raise the profile of women in leadership, enjoy some lively debate and raise funds for the amazing Nelson Trust

Amanda Segelov, Director of Operations at The Nelson Trust and one of the evenings panellists shared:

“Attending my first Women in Leadership event for the Trust was truly inspiring. There’s real power in a collective of women, supported by strong male allies, who are passionate about leadership and committed to helping others become the very best leaders they can be.”

The event was generously hosted by The Benefact Group and proudly supported by Azets, Meta Advisors and WSP Solicitors.

‘Women in Leadership – Business Growth’ returns on 12 November.
