New Dyfed Powys Hub is now open!

Our women's centre hub in Carmarthenshire has officially moved to its new spot at Parc Dewi Sant.

Over the past couple of years, the team in Dyfed Powys have offered lifeline support to women, offering them the chance to create a better future and break free from the cycle of offending through dedicated outreach services.

The new hub is welcoming and spacious, allowing the team to deliver more groups and one-to-one sessions from the same space and enabling the women to access donations of clothing, toiletries and essential food items. It also provides space for peer support from our lived experience volunteers.

The official opening took place in early July with centre managers from across our Wales women’s centres joined by representatives from our partners at the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner and other local organisations.

Head of Operations for Wales, Rosie Rodgers shared her excitement:

“I am so pleased we are now able to open  the Women’s Hub in Carmarthen, where the Nelson Trust will be able to provide much-needed services to women in the Dyfed-Powys area. The team have built the service in Dyfed-Powys with passion, dedication, and commitment, which has now developed into the long-awaited Hub.

Through the Nelson Trust working in partnership with other co-located services, women will be able to access both group and one-to-one support, helping to reignite belief and hope by addressing multiple unmet needs.”

Referrals to our service in Dyfed-Powys are currently made through the Community Rehabilitation Service (CRS) via probation. We currently do not accept self-referrals.
