We are delighted to announce that both the Clay Pigeon Shoot and the Charity Dinner at the stunning Berkeley Castle and Folly last week raised nearly £70,000!
Both events featured some fantastic auction lots, including a Majorcan VIP holiday, specialist sim days for attendees to continue honing their shooting skills, and a stay at one of the Cotswolds’ award-winning inns, The Wild Duck at Ewen.
We are extremely grateful to the volunteers on our Gloucestershire Fundraising Committee for organising these events, to our sponsors Enterprise Mobility, Howard Tenens, Nailsworth Mills Estates, The Grapevine Works and Stroud Farm Service. And to our hosts, the Berkeley family, for their continued support of one of the most popular events in our fundraising calendar.
We would also like to extend special congratulations to the winning teams from the shoot, Nailsworth Mills Clay Smashers and Damson Gin Damsels.
The funds raised from both the clay shoot and the charity dinner are vital in ensuring that women and men across the South West of England and Wales continue to have access to our life-changing services. With nearly £70,000 raised, thousands of people and families will be given the opportunity to recover, heal, and thrive following substance use and trauma.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back, and seeing some new faces, at next year’s Clay Shoot and Charity Dinner on Thursday 13 May.
If you would like to be part of the action at the Folly next year, or if you are more interested in an evening of elegance with an indulgent three-course meal – or even both – please contact the team at fundraising@nelsontrust.com.
