We're thrilled that both the Clay Pigeon Shoot and the Dinner at Berkeley Castle last week were a great success and raised approximately £50,000!
We are extremely grateful to the Gloucestershire Fundraising Committee for organising this event, and to our sponsors— Enterprise Mobility and The Grapevine Works. As well as the Berkeley family and Barbury Shooting School for making this fantastic day possible.
In celebration of our 40th anniversary, we wanted to make the competition an extra special event with the addition of the Gnat, provided by Raisthorpe Flyers and sponsored by Nailsworth Mills Estate and Stroud Farm Country Store. The Gnat was a popular test of our attendees’ shooting skills, and a huge well done to everyone that managed to hit the speedy target.
A special congratulations to the winning team, Nailsworth Clay Smashers, and to the top ladies’ team, Shooting Sheila’s, in the shoot.
The funds raised from this event are crucial for The Nelson Trust – we’re a charity supporting individuals across the South West of England and Wales who are affected by drug and alcohol use, as well as those in our community who are struggling and in need of support. We’re on a mission to make change possible, and we couldn’t achieve this without the funds raised from fundraising events like this one.
We’re excited to welcome everyone back at on the stunning grounds of Berkeley Castle and Folly next year on Thursday 21 May. If you want to be a part of the action next year, contact fundraising@nelsontrust.com with your request.
